Initial Observations:
- Spoiler:
I was thinking of using Sword Burst with a Flaming Khopesh.. Throw in Hellfire Blood, Turathi Weapon Training, Turathi Frenzy Arcane Admixture (Thunder) + Resounding Thunder, and you can get an at-will highly accurate, moderately damaging Burst 2, Ally-friendly nuke! (1d6+12, or 1d6+17 against bloodied targets)
Sadly, you can't Bolts of Bedevilment your Aegis target and force him to attack someone else, and then punish him for violating the Aegis (that would be cool, but no Immediate actions on your own turn).
However, you can play nice with another defender! Use your Bolts on a big melee bruiser, get him to smash his own team up, and let your buddy defender punish him; then you mark him, and walk away! Potential double punishment, and you counter monster tactics and reduce damage output.
And if the brute decides to ignore your mark and hit your ally anyway, you can always teleport back in, and give him a good whack... or Dimensional Vortex and redirect the hit back to his own ally, whom he's already whacked before!
You'll also probably be disengaging and using Swordmage's Decree to get another Aegis out on another side of the map, with the squishier ranged guys. If either side violates the mark, then you can choose where you want to teleport... and bring the Sword Burst love to tightly clustered mobs.
Lastly, the Amulet of Life helps get more mileage out of your Rejuvenating Strike. You'll probably draw some aggro, so you can spend 2 healing surges every encounter with that attack. In case that attack doesn't hit and you can't heal, you can use your Reactive Surge when you get bloodied, and White Lotus Riposte protects you when you've got Sword Burst out.
Finally, Backlash Tattoo and Frost Backlash help to set up the Catch-22. There's lots of Immediate action stuff going around, which means you may not get to trigger your Aegis; however, these things are designed to work when you're the target of the attack, which means you probably won't be able to use your Aegis punish anyway.
