Not all games are the same; there is backgammon, soccer, chess, poker, video games, and our beloved TRPGs.
It's not analytically fulfilling to classify them according to some formal taxonomy of 'game'; what does this accomplish? We end up searching either for some universal definition that misses the differences between each form, or we end up emphasizing the differences and end up with nothing useful at all.
So, TRPGs.
These games are specific products of culture - that we, as players, use and work with. Due to their specific features, we use them to do certain things that are less readily apparent in other game systems.
